NLF Kneeling

I HAVE HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH THE OUTRAGE OVER NFL PLAYERS “TAKING A KNEE.” I feel so many things about this, I don’t even know where to start. I guess my biggest issue is that I don’t know what America (white America) wants people to do when they want to make a difference. Rioting and looting and marching are irresponsible and destructive and dangerous. Fine! So peaceful protest is the way to go, right? Wrong. I CAN’T THINK of something more peaceful than literally KNEELING DOWN SILENTLY. There is an actual OUTRAGE about these people exercising their RIGHTS as Americans, but they are literally doing exactly what right wing conservative people wanted them to do!!! I’m starting to feel like it isn’t about the method of protest at all anymore, and more about keeping people from protesting or speaking out against the things that America has wrong at all! “Don’t peacefully protest, don’t radically protest, just don’t protest! Let us right wing, shit head white americans do whatever we want forever, even when it’s diminishing and intruding on the rights of some americans.”

*PS can we stop giving so much adoration to the NFL team owners kneeling with players, when it’s pretty clear they’re making a statement to the President that they run the NFL and don’t like being told what to do and NOT that they actually care about the race issues in current politics*
