Thank you for visiting my side of the roundtable. My name is David and I am a 21-year-old senior from Baton Rouge, LA.

If I had to describe myself in three words, it would be humorous, theocentric, and ambitious. My religion is something I hold near and dear to my hear and it has gotten me through many situations in my life. But I don't want you to think that I'm serious all the time because I'm not! Nine times out of ten, you will find me joking around about something. I love to put a smile on my friend's faces. 

I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to get involved on campus while I've been at UL Lafayette. Two of the organizations that I dedicate a lot of my time to is SOUL Camp and UL NAACP. 

While at college, I have definitely found a new sense of pride in being black and everything that comes with it. It's such a huge part of who I am and I am so excited to be able to share that with you all here on my blog. Everything that I write will be written from the heart and I sincerely hope that you enjoy my posts.
