Dreadlocks and culture appropriation

This blog entry will be in response to an aspect of African American culture, dreadlocks, and to the appropriation of it in white Americans. Disclaimer, while I am normally WHOLESOMELY ANTI-APPROPRIATION, this post is me (trying to) take a different stand on this issue. After all, I wanted to grow from this blog, and sometimes you have to explore ideas that you didn’t think you’d agree with. Here goes! While historically we know that dreads likely originated in Egypt, we also know that dreads have proven versatile and have been discovered in many cultures, anciently.
